Hi. My name is Evgeniy Maloshenkov I am from Ukraine, age 23 . Drawing always was my hobby. Never studied art, i've graduated completely non art college i have Bachelor of Public Relations, currently working as a trader for metallurgic company based in Poland, seeling steel plates all day ))

I hate this job actualy, the payment is bad and its boring work. One of my goals is to work as an illustrator or concept artist, somewhere... But i have no idea where to start I've send some examples of my work to few companies but they never reply, things are tough here on Eastern front :) So if some of you folks has any suggestions about my drawings, or maby you can give some advice where to start looking for some job, prefered freelance, dont be shy and share your ideas :)

Thank you
E. Maloshenkov

I know this thread is not for 'asspats' but I love this. I checked out the rest of your SB and its all awesome. The energy, looseness and overall street art vibe are just great.

I can't really think of anything much to say in terms of constructive criticism, sorry I know that's not very helpful! I guess maybe as you mention you are looking for concept design work as well as illustration, maybe do some more stuff in this vein? This seems like very much a purely illustration portfolio to me at the moment.

I would love to see a comic book of this stuff.

Lightpunk - Thank you. I think I like Illustration more then concept design i like it too but when its inside illustration. Mainly i am into colours, energy and composition. My goal is to make some illustrations for book publishings, cards etc.

Capt Surge - Yea i always seek something new, I used to be under huge influence of Justin Sweet few years ago, but i always felt like number 2 :) So i quit painting for about 7 mounth, when i came back i start to do completely different stuff. you can see those old drawings at my site: www.pyroform.carbonmade.com

Your art is really cool!
Perhaps, what you need is to expose more your art. Have you asked yourself whether you have sent your art to the "wrong" potential clients?

As you said you haven't had many replies, that could be you're looking for the wrong place... I think your art goes very good in the editorial market, some mag illustrations, book covers and art decó...

Maybe you could also send your samples to other countries?
