Teen Challenge 119: Migration

Topic
This week's topic is Migration. Make it large scale--think how animals often migrate in the tens of thousands (or more...the largest recorded flock of passenger pigeons had an estimated 3.5 BILLION birds in it). Note that the animals can be fictional or real.

Focus--NOW MANDATORY
Focus is a new addition to the Teen Challenges to... well, challenge you a bit more!

This week's focus is scale. Show the scale of the sheer volume of animals in the migration.

Deadline
The deadline is Sunday May 15th, 23:59 GMT

You've got a week from now, so what are you waiting for?!

Hmmm...well it is what I originally had in mind. If you can successfully fit the theme and focus without the use of animals however, go ahead. Just be aware that depending on what you do you may be disqualified if it does not follow the theme close enough.

Deffo gonna take part in this one! First time in the teen challenge :)
- a question, when I'm thinking big masses, I'm not sure I can convey the very animal itself, I was thinking more like the animals being dots and then a landscape environment.. Would this be wrong? Is the animal needed to be recogniseable?

As long as it reads as migration it is fine. You don`t need to show a detailed individual at all...the following photos are examples of where the individual may not be recognizable past "bird" or "quadruped", but the number of them and what they are doing is still clear:

Going for a big canyon/valley type environment, with cliffs on either side, where huge flocks of birds pass through to get to the nesting ground.

Aaaaand the final. This has got to be the fastest I've ever done anything. Have a framed version for the Finals thread too.
