Hello CA, this my very first post here. Sorry for my bad english! I'm a 22 years old student from the university of Architecture in Ho Chi Minh city (Viet Nam). I'm also self-trained to become a concept artist for a year. I'm looking for a schoolarship in TAD or any study program that focus on the concept art.
So I think i should start a sketchbook here, and i will update it everyday, Thanks.

May 31st, 2011, 09:44 PM
cool work man! some of your brush strokes are pretty blurry, and leave the paintings looking pretty unrefined, but your ideas are there, and maybe a little extra clean up work, and tightening up the edges could really push these concepts alot further. just something to think about :). keep it going!

June 10th, 2011, 06:42 PM
Really like how this last enviro came out! Any crits I had from the stuff higher up on the page is completely gone. Great texture, your lines are confident and clean. I guess the only thing that onfuses me is the lighting, is that a moon in the BG? Is your light coming from the upper left? I'm having a hard time telling if it's day or night, unless you're inside and I'm mistaken altogether :P
gunsbins
June 10th, 2011, 07:04 PM
well,I put a moon to make the scene looks like on another planet, I've found it fun anyway, then I just do it, nothing more seriously. Thanks alot man :D

gunsbins
June 12th, 2011, 01:28 PM
Thanks man, it's a random sketch, I did'nt have anything in mind, and then, everything comes with a mix of lasso, custom brushes and photo texture.

Wow amazing your an artistic genius. Have you got any videos you drawing these can't believe you did some of them detailed ones in two hours. Amazing you deserve to be making alot of money in my opinion. Well done. Some of your Sci-fi concept's are stunning would be kool to see them in a film.
Would be kool to see what you think of my pen illustration seeing as your so good. Be kool to see what you think my works in the review section of the forum under George Birch GEB Graphics.

Been around a few times - and I really liked your tank study and a few other pieces - meant to write but kind of fizzled out as I suddenly decided to think about other things as I too often do.
But perhaps it was almost worth it for anything in the way of advice would have been pointless since you have just stepped up further and are blowing me away with these last envos. Love the EoW and I thank you for the process and I also like the industry zone concept ~.
(And the studies, but in my mind I already wrote about those whitout - I just failed to post it).

Love it man, I really like the new reds! Try to think a little bit more of what you would "actually" see from that perspective though. Are those spikey towers directly below the ship or is it further away? Same for the eggs, are you seeing those further away from the side or from the front? Depending on the field of view you will see things differently, and the light will also hit the objects different etc. Anyways looking great! Keep pushing!

This one is done for Bobby Chiu fairy tales re-imagined challenge at cghub. I did this under many pressures, so the result is not very good. But I have load of fun while doing that, and I have learned very much from the other artists too. Here's the back story :
Kasim in the thieves's cave.
I’ve imagined about the story based in the far future, where the fuel has become precious and very rare. It’s a treasure in some country. The environment on the Earth has been damage from the act of human race. The human body cannot stand against the toxicity air, so they have created the cyber body, only the organic brain has left on it. Once upon a time, there was 40 famous evil thieves. They hide the treasure in a big cave beneath the deep blue sea, because it contains gasoline, oil…so the sea is the only place keep it safe from fire. Alibaba, a cyber-fisherman, by chance, discovered the cave and the password to unlock the secure and very big door. His brother, Kasim follow Alibaba to the treasure, but his greed lock him in the cave, until the thieves return to it. And then, they tear him in to pieces….

The lighting looks off. The planet on the horizon is getting its top half lit, which would mean the sun is directly opposite (or nearly opposite) of it. However, it looks like there's a giant spot light from above shining down on the building at ~ a 45 degree angle.
Also, I really like your environments.

How about a control tower and a small docking ship or two? The top right areas of the icy terrain still have a slightly 'Google Earth' look to them. This base looks 'trapped' by the pipelines framing it. Could they possibly burrow into the surface of the moon at some point? Just some thoughts from me, otherwise it looks solid.
You're on a roll by the way, Gia. Keep it up!!
