changing focus

hi guys, right now im a graphic design major at the university of maryland graduating this may, but i hate it lol. im really interested in being a concept artist for a living though i have no idea how i should start.

i only recently decided to become an artist and i feel like i need to go a concept art or character design school (or something to that effect) so that i can get the skills to pursue my dreams.

i dont know what schools to look at or how i should prepare myself. ive scanned in the last few pages of my sketch book to give you an idea of my current skill level. any suggestions?
