I am going to visit home in a day or two, and I need to know a good safe way to transport my brand new 17" LCD monitor without damaging the screen etc. I am going by car. What is safe to cover the screen with and what are some good ways to make sure it doesnt move around?
The reason I ask is because I obviously dont have time to get a nice gear grip harness (which I have for my CRT and am incredibly pleased with). Unless anyone knows of a good place in or around Dallas to buy such a thing? Suggestions?

Do you still have the box it came in? If not just make one, with some other cardboard box ie uhaul, or visit the container store (across from the galleria) they have tons of stuff for packing things up. I'd just wrap it in foam and box it up. If its small enough hit a resale shop/goodwill and get a breifcase/hard suitcase if you can find one. There's some suggestions :chug:

Thanks! Actually, not only do I have the box, I also have the foam holder thingys. But I am still kinda worried about the screen. What could I cover it with to prevent scratches? Or am I just being paranoid? I have never had one of these before so I am still wary of what I can and cannot do with it.
