I was looking for art forums to join so I could catch up on the latest technology.
The first one I tried to join (wet something) did not like my name, Chispas, which is the Spanish word for my real name. I live along the Mexican border in West Texas and among my Spanish clients I am known as Dr. Chispas
(I conduct a dream forum where people get to work on their dreams to see what they mean). I am a retired analyst from the Jungian school.
I attended the Academy of Art (San Francisco) in the early sixties before it became famous and expensive, using my GI Bill. Originally, I was going to be an art therapist but found dream work more interesting. So, I gave up my oil and acrylic abstract painting to concentrate on the more mundane work of being a family therapist.
Now I am returning to acrylics after 50 years to paint - and I am here to get caught up on the latest (Liqitex was the only paint around that I can remember).
I was first inspired to paint when I was stationed in France in the 1950s after seeing the movie "Lust for Life." People tell me I am a doppelganger for Vincent ( one of my grandfathers was a redheaded Dutchman). My genealogy research did not find any relation to the famous painter who remains my favorite because of his history and intensity.
And thats a little bit about me. :yum:

Hope you have a nice time here. There are others, like me, trying to rekindle old dreams and relearn how to do the most mundane bits, so you're not alone.
