Hi,
I am an illustration student in my final year. I am looking into buying some hardware so I can continue with freelance work after uni.
I am looking for printer & scanner at the moment, and so far managed to narrow it down to 2 printers, however I could use some help deciding which printer would be the better option. I usually work at a size of A3 with a fair amount of details. I love to keep it colourful, clear and crisp. I am not such a fan of glossy prints but like to use paper with textures. The price tag for the printer should not exceed 600 British pounds.
The printers I have been looking at are following:
1. Canon Pixma Pro9000 Mark II: http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Product_Finder/Printers/Professional_Photo_Printers/PIXMA_Pro_9000_Mark_II/index.aspx?specs=1
2. Epson Stylus Photo R2880:
http://www.epson.co.uk/Store/Printers-and-All-in-Ones/Epson-Stylus-Photo-R2880/Tech-Specs
If anyone has experience with printers, knows more then me about printers and could have a look at the specs or tell me of their experience with the printers would help me a lot with choosing the right equipment.
I am also looking for a scanner to go with the printer, so if there are people out there with recommendations I ll gladly would hear your opinion. For the scanners it pretty much is the same story as with the printer. A3 at least is a must! The price tag should not be to high though, maybe around 200 British pounds?!
many thanks in advance!
