Greetings from Melbourne

Hi everyone,
I joined CA awhile back and have only made a couple of posts but i want to get more involved in fantasy and concept art so i would thought i would introduce myself.

I am an illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia.

I studied art and design in the late 1970s early 1980s and before i left college i co-illustrated the Fighting Fantasy paperback "Caverns of the Snow Witch" for Penguin Books UK.

over the years moved more into graphic design/multimedia and children's illustration. More recently i have worked in educational and editorial illustration but want to get back into fantasy art.

A few months ago I came across the book The Skillful Huntsman and The Drawn today podcast. These have inspired me to do some more fantasy work.

I would like to connect with artists in my local area. Any fantasy artists here that hail from Melbourne or Australia?

Yeah, I went to uni in Melbourne, and lived there for about ten years. Awesome city. Fantastic collection of art in the NGV, parks, culture, architecture, man that place has it all.

The NGV is great. We also have ACMI (centre for the moving image) which has The Art of Disney's Classic Fairy Tales exhibition at present.
