i really would love to come to this every saturday. ive been searching for a place near austin that does nude figure drawings. i'm wondering is it beginner friendly because i've never actually done one before.

Yes this is very beginner friendly, there is no pressure at all, and everyone is free to draw at their own pace each session. Definitely come out and check it. Lots of fun! Hope to see you there :)

you can bring whatever you feel like drawing with. big or small pad, pen pencil charcoal whatever you like. we usually have an extra easel and a few extra drawing horses. :]

Sorry I just saw this thread. But yes, the sessions are very beginner friendly.
Feel free to bring any medium but I would suggest a dry media. Graphite, charcoal, pastel.
Just when beginning to draw, the bigger the better (18x24). A large pad is a good place to start. Maybe a drawing utensil that can lay down broad strokes.
But bring whatever you are comfortable with,
cya there

If you are in the area you are absolutely welcome. You will enjoy the sessions as they are well run and there is plenty of room to get a great seat. You can use the easels or the drawing horses. You can even use Patrick's desk since he is in San Francisco
;)
Seriously, come on out. Will be good to meet everyone as folks make it in.
