All I can notice that could use some work is perspective in the first piece. I am not sure if they are meant to appear as if some of those structures have their own vanishing points. Other then that, they look well painted, and the textures are very nicely done. The first piece really gives you the feeling of a bumpy terrain and the second piece would be great for making a little side cash if you put people's ads on the billboards.

Cool man.

I didn't have intention of having the two buildings with the same vanishing point, more just as seperate buildings shifted over time with the terrain. thanks for the input though I do appreciate it and it might be something to change if it looks really out of place. That's a great idea about the ads, i'l recommend that to the studio. thanks!

Video game? I would give it a try. Looks good enough. Your images are both clear and reasonable while retaining a glint of immediacy. Seems sexy as a game.

thanks! I hope they will have the game out by 2011. right now it's going a bit slowly from what I hear... are you looking for a concept artist? i'm always available for enviros if you need someone. thanks for the comment!

There both swell, the first one seems very flat, by adding in some atmosphere effects it would throw your background back much further, try incorporating some of the sky color to the pyramid. The second one needs ot have some of the clean straight line broken up a bit. Real life is not perfect, whic might be the reason why it looks a bit odd to me.

Hope this helps

The reason all of the buildings would be on the same vanishing point, is that the viewer has one set of eyes on the same plane. If you want it to look realistic, you learn perspective.

In your First pic your levels of rendering are somewhat inconsistant and make it look unfinished rather then a visual choice. Also you composition is lacking somewhat that as the viewer I am uncertain what I am looking at or supposed to be looking at. The signs in your second pic stand out like stickers and need to be degraded and desaturated to match the rest of the image. I would suggest that you spend more time looking at photo reference and really exploring how these surfaces, textures and objects look and interact in the real world. Good luck with your game production!

This is cool!
The second picture reminds me of a stage in spiderman ! :)

I think you might be using actual photographs as a crutch instead of inspiration and reference. In both pieces it is very easy to tell what you have painted versus what you have just pasted in as a photo and maybe manipulated a bit. At this stage, try to work on your painting skills and using existing textures sparingly rather than your 'insert image' skills. These both have a lot of potential, but right now I'm not seeing the artist's true hand in either of them.

Good luck and keep posting!
