Comic WIP sculpt

Hey all,
Here's a project I've been working on for the past few weeks. It's for a friend of mine who is developing a comic around this figure. Hope you like it.

Thanks! Yeah we're not sure if we like the high gloss on the armor or not. I personally liked the flat paint better...

Looks great. I like the gloss - it brings out the texture.

The sword doesn't look very sharp though, an edge might help.

Hey all. Here's the finished product. Except I think I'm going to throw some gloss on the blood on the sword. Anyways, good C and C is much welcome!

Awesome!! I love design ,armour , sword, in fact all of him, great work, man, congrats.
I have a question, does this character have a name?

Yessir however I'm not sure what I can and can't release about his project thus far as it is in development. He is ramping up to release his first issue at comicon sometime this year. Once this happens I will give you guys some more info. Thanks for the input!

Thanks all for your kind words. Wish I could give more information on the character and story behind him.... The process was lots of fun though. After cooking him I was able to carve out the detail on his armor. It's supposed to resemble a lava rock type of texture and I think it came out nice. Now lets see if I can ship him without problems ahhh!

I love this sculpt. He looks so huge and brutish, and rock-like. Great job. It reminds me of when I was young and the very first " Outer Limits," came on TV. One episode had a runaway alien scientist who crossed diminsions into ours and was seeking sanctuary, but no, they sent two big creatures that looked like yours to wack him. They had hands that had been removed and replaced with weapons that looked like can openers to my child-like mind, that shot out killer blue lightning. Your sculpt made all that come racing back to my mind. Ahaaa, memories.
