Just an introduction

I'm primarily a musician although I've oil painting since I've been a teenager. I seem to go through these mood swings where I've heavily into improving my guitar technique and not at all interested in painting. But at the moment it's just the opposite so I'm not really into music right now but more into creating some paintings.

I work in traditional oil and just recently discovered that you can actually oil paint on a computer. So I picked up Corel Painter X along with a Wacom Intuos4 Small Tablet.

When I get my first digital oil done maybe I can post it.

That's good since there are things you'll get answered there that may not be answered here (especially important for the Corel Painter development team to know about, straight from the users, and things only they can answer).

I also was looking at that digitalpaintingforum.com site but they require $49 to register and participate in the forums. Does anyone know what the traffic is over there? Busy? Really slow?
