Does anybody knows how much we have to pay as an initial payment?
And how we know if we are in the 30, 24 or 18 months program? Cause I guess the payment depends of the length of our education.. Or is there an initial payment no matter which would be the course duration?

Thanks a lot!! :)

Here is the link for the payment info on the TAD site : http://theartdepartment.org/info.shtml# [<- go to Payment options&Scholarships]

I hope this helps a bit , there are different options available from $1500 per month till upfront payment.

Thanks a lot Cerasela :) But I knew that hehe.. Maybe I didnīt explain myself well, sorry..

The TAD told us that we will be enrolled in 30, 24 or 18 months length depending in our skills and progress... So, I guess TAD decide it by seeing our work.
Now, if I want to pre-paid with the 50% of discount, witch payment plan I need to choose if I donīt know how long would be my attendance.. Or do I chose the length?

And if I pay in a normal way (without discount) how much I need to pay? the 1500 per month until the end I guess..(thats only for On-line program cause the POD and Workshops students must pay a little more, Thats right?)

Help!!

I canīt answer about the duration if you can choose it or not . I hope someone will help you on that.

But for the 50% discount, its says:

30 Month program = $22,500
(paid in full by March 10 2010)
24 Month program = $18,000
(paid in full by March 10 2010)
18 Month program = $13,500
(paid in full by March 10 2010)

So it must be paid in full till March 10 ? So i guess itīs over now with this option?

Normal would be 1500 per Month , till you reached one of this sums

30 Month program = $45,000
24 Month program = $36,000
18 Month program = $27,000

or
there is other discounts also on that site for limited time , but itīs not written when it ends. Like 30 month :Three payments of $12,000 in the first 15 months (1, 7 and 15) = $36,000

Additional fees for Pod or Online users are also written :

- All POD students require a non-refundable 300 USD per month studio fee in addition to tuition.

- Hybrid program students have one three week workshop included per year included in the price of tuition. (Additional 3 week workshops are 1500 USD.)

- Online only students are responsible for all personal costs, including, but not limited to: equipment, media, supplies, travel, or housing.

@cerasela: Thanks for the info at the end, I hadn't checked the website and that was new info for me.

@red: The school chooses which program length you need to do. If you are going to pay the tuition up front then you have until April 1st. I would say that unless you are amazing, you will be a 30 month student and should get $22,500 up front for the tuition.

You do not have to come up with $1,500 per month. There is an option to pay $500 a month which I think is much more reasonable for people. The full 30 month program will cost $45,000 and there are discounts if you can it off very quickly. The $45,000 tuition is fore 2.5 years of school, which is 5 semesters.

Hope this helps

Oh Yeah!! Thanks a lot Cerasela and Thyname for your comments :)
Yeah we have until April 1 (it is written in the official acceptance letter that we just get via e-mail) to pay all discounted tuition if we like (and if we are rich hehe)

Ok then, if I canīt pay the tuition with discount, I can give $500 as first payment but I must pay it in June I guess...

Thanks a lot :D
