It is official. There are scholarships still available for new applicants to TAD who have applied since the March Scholarship Deadline. All new applicants will be considered upon application to TAD ( apply button on www.theartdepartment.org ) and completion of that portfolio and information process while scholarships are available. Acceptance is the next step followed by scholarship reviews.

ALL SCHOLARSHIPS in this budget are first come first serve (and based on portfolio merit). While there is no deadline date set, once the awards are gone the period is over.

What does this mean for us that applied before the deadline? Can we apply again, with the same or an updated portfolio, pay the application fee again and get another shot at a scholarship, even if we were already accepted to TAD? Or is a better idea to wait, get better, and apply for a scholarship in a year, or whenever new scholarships are made available?

Also, a while back I sent an e-mail to [email protected], with a bunch of questions in it. My question abouts cholarships was answered, and the answer was that it would all be revealed on Monday 15th, but the other questions were not, because you were busy with SxSW. Should I send this e-mail again? This is the second e-mail to this address that hasn't been answered thoroughly, the first e-mail got no reply at all.

I sent an email the day Jason posted this message and I received an email back today saying there actually was a deadline and it IS today? Was this information correct since you specified no specific date in this thread? Kind of confused :( Thanks in advance!
