"The woodland hall was being prepared for the big feast, thralls and prisoners from the whole empire were nailed to the ancient trees and ten unicorns where decapitated and drained of blood to create a shiny magnificent path leading up to her throne.
On the Queens spectacular arrival the head of Nils, elf prince and protector of all thats good and beutiful where to be spiked on the throne to celebrate the defeat and extinction of his fathers kingdom Thol"

Very nice entries. Not easy to pick.

guilefine
Very good use of textures. Inventive design.
Benedikt
Beautiful and epic. Very nicely rendered
android411
Cool. Nice Idea with the fairy world. Perhaps there could be some shadows under the small trees.
dragon4lunch
Beautiful vibrant colours. I would add some reflections from the lanterns in the air and the soundings. I love the rich vegetation.
Ragnj
Nice black and white. A bit morbid interpretation.
smuli
Nice I like those experimental colours.
fenTT
Very god use of phothoshop filter and beautiful scene. I believed it was traditional watercolour.
Kroevyn
God. I like the composition the way you did the floor and the dark stair.
Kat444
Lookin' good Lot of nice details.
Misho
Great. Love your brushwork.
LEEBLEEB
Cool. Nice focal point.
Noah7
Nice Idea to have the tree with the fairy swarming around it. Makes me curious how it looks inside.
annarepp
Awesome. The wood looks great and it looks like a magical place.
tsujni
Very nice Creative interpretation and colours.
Hilding
Great. As usual.
sakuna
Nice . I like the colours and those curved branches. Maybe you could render them out a bit more.
darknight
Beatiful and epic scene. Nice colours. Perhaps the girl could be a little more connected to the ground with a shadow or something like that.

Thanks for all crit. Sorry a could not answer had to go for a small trip in the week.

Not that I was going to vote for myself, but I wonder why my entry is not in the poll? Is it only me who can't see it? I'm new to this :(

There are many amazing artworks here ^_^!

i was just curious ..It looks a lot like the california coast, but then I've heard they look very similar.. good job on the going out for plein air practice... I love it. I wouldn't reccommend finding an actual opium den though. :P
sakura as I explained in your PM your icon was not outside hosted. there was nothing wrong with the piece itself. For future reference, voting for yourself is just not done.. the vote will be removed.

Oh I know that ^^; I sorted out the icon problem a while ago thanks to you.
Also... I didn't say I voted for myself :( I just said I couldn't see my entry listed in the poll (I'd never vote on my own work >.< ).

Sakuna.. I'm sorry, It wasn't sorted by the time I put up the poll. But at least now you know how it works. And i know you said you'd never vote for your own piece , but the icon is why it isn't in the poll.
I just put up the rest of that as a general warning. I post it now and then becasue we do get the occassional person who does thtat

I t is a lovely piece I really like the misty green atmosphere of it, It could use a little more value contrast and saturation contrast both of which would increase the sense of depth. and mystery in the piece.

That's OK :) Thanks for the constructive feedback - I'm not so used to environmental pieces so the challenge was good practice.
