US retail version on UK PC?

I have a close friend in the States who is willing to flog me a spare copy of the US retail box version of Corel Painter X (still sealed) she has floating around her studio. I want purchase this US version as it'll save me a bit of dosh and it isn't XI, but I'm worried if there may be any issues installing it on to a UK PC besides foregoing any software support. Does anyone know?

I don't think there's any difference at all between a UK and US version.

No, I doubt there will be any issues. Adobe and the like go to terrible lengths to prevent us sorry Europeans from buying/importing relatively cheap US software from their stores and American resellers. I'm sure they wouldn't bother if it simply wouldn't run on Euro computers.
