Wanted to know how some of you inspire your selves when doing period pieces. I do a lot of Civil War related work and I know if I work while watching Gettysburg or Gods and Generals or listening to period style music helps me. How about you guys? Interested to hear the responses.

I'm actually working on a little sociology project for my gf, sort of a short graphic novel set in the medieval era Hamlet style, i inspire myself by the fact i have full stylistic freedom because the point of it would be the story and not the way it's presented, which allows me to go as insane as i want. I'm gonna give it a thetrical feel with the setting not matching the society.
Gonna be fun as hell costume design wise.
