I just got painter 8.1, but how do i change my brush?

On the top right you should be able to choose


If its not there,go to window and show brush selector




I have a question,and I have painter 8.But I'm looking at a tutorial that is using painter 7,so...Where is the variable round brush?

The Variable Round brush is now in Painter 8's Oils category. You may find it useful to bookmark this page;

I still cant find how to enable the brush selector. All I have for windows to display is like custom brush.

In the Painter 8.1 Window menu, look at the 8th item in the drop-down list. It should read 'Hide Brush Selector Bar'. If it doesn't, click on the item 'Show Selector Bar'.

Next, choose Window menu> Arrange Palettes> Default. You should now be able to see the Brush Selector Bar in the top right corner of your monitor. Click the left icon in the Brush Selector Bar to bring up a drop-down menu to select the appropriate brush category, and the right icon to select brush variants within that category.

To familiarise yourself with Painter's basic features, select Painter 8/8.1 Help menu> Help Topics. There is also a free, updated user guide available on Corel's ftp server; *Click here*. (ftp://ftp.procreate.com/pub/Painter/8.1/)

I found it after reading the other post so im good ^_^

Thanks alot though
