Ways to make money on the side

hey, im poor and needs ideas for ways to make money to buy alcohol. was wondering if you had any stories of ways you've done it, busting with portraits, washing cars or whatever?


to contribute i've only got a couple but this is from when i was like 8 years old, me and a friend would go through a local corner shops bin bags and take icepops, then sell them from behind our garden fence (used to live in the local 'hood')

also once made scratchcards out of laminated card and wax crayons :P tried flogging them to anyone who'd listen... ahh to be young and dumb,

Dunno what kind of recycling programs you've got where you live, but I know out here in California many of the homeless earn their pay by rooting through dumpsters for cans/glass/plastic and turning them in for cash. And then when you're done drinking your booze, you can turn in the container for some change.

Though to be frank, if your main concern is affording alcohol... then you probably aren't as poor as you think. :)

If you're "purdy" for a guy, go hang out at a gay bar...you won't even need money...but there might be expectations at the end of the night. And, just remember, nobody likes a tease.

There are plenty of medical studies that are relatively harmless and pay decent. Check Medical colleges in your area or maybe a good ol fashioned google search for your area.

i have a job this is how i eat, only i cant take more hours because of the amount of work the course im taking requires, but seen as i'm making art all the time i wondered if anyone had storys of doing small things for money

Sell stuff you don't want anymore on ebay? Or craigslist? Sometimes that works.

You can try to sell your artwork on sites like dawanda.com or artfire.com to earn some extra cash. They dont have any fees (yet). You have to promote your shop to be able to make any sales really, though.
