I am closer to discovering who I am now than I have ever been before.

Robert Henri once wrote: "All manifestations of Art are but landmarks in the progress of the human spirit toward a thing but as yet sensed and far from being possessed".
Although the goal, the truth of it all, the divine "Secret" seems always unattainable to contemplation, I feel morally obliged and driven to strive for it. The searching in itself lifts us from the mud, I think.
Keep doin' it, Andrew! :jump1:

hey andrew, nice to hear about your success!
if i should hyperpolate the direction the last portraits took and compare it to the situation of you coming closer to yourself, i'd say:
you are a SMILING artist!

Pretty centered the last couple of days, must feel interesting. You look like Bruce Cambell in this one.

Hey! Hey! Dr. Jones!
I am happy for you! This is a good thing.
I love the portriat. The brushstrokes...
they brim with nervous excitement.
You are quite happy in this one. It's in the eyes.
Also known as windows to the soul.
May you find yourself, my friend.

awesome work as always. you capture moods and emotions very accurately, i always get very strong feelings from your works.
i feel lately the words that accompany the portraits are as important as the portraits themselves and they play off each other nicely. i could see you writing a book, perhaps an autobiography with an SP every few pages :p
