qstom> Maybe a little hard to read figure wise, and the BG breaks it up or doesn't appear to match the figure. I really like your pencil sketch+color though.

sic8sic> You have a few designs with potential, if you work on them some more. Maybe pose them like they are doing something, like running around with a bird in their hand... haha, doh, taken already!

Prometheus i admire your work so much, I cant believe you replied this thread...anyway, this is my main problem, I can only draw what Ive drawn in the past that mean the poses too, my pictures lack fluidity and appeal, is there anything youd know that might help me with that, maybe books or something?
tnx dude

Well, I'd suggest 3 sources for studies:
Comics often get right to the point with great dynamic poses. Not so good for anatomy ref though! This I did from CatClaw (http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/junk/practice1.jpg). Do as many sheets as possible over a period of several months.
Photos can be a good source, or not. They are easy to find though. Most my studies are from photos. Again, quantity is the word.
Life. Try to be more aware of how people pose when they do different stuff, like opening a door. Is he standing more on one leg than another? How does he hold his arms? Keep a small pencil and a small block of paper in your pocket, just in case you need to do a quick scribble. Doesn't have to be advanced. This will help with drawing everyday life situations, but maybe not cool action poses :)

After a while you'll get better. When doing personal pics, I've found that it's best to draw from my head, and not rely on reference. Drawing straight from ref mostly results in a stiff artificial look, since it's slower and less intuitive.

qstom: that stuff is GREAT! i really like your pencil work man..
that CrocoCow is the shit!@

i am however having trouble seperating the figure in your final wip from the background. maby a more dramatic secondary light source on HIS right side? or maby bring the character to a more dramatic value/contrast range? i dont know.
