I shouldn't be doing this since I'm in the challenge, too, but...

The Teacup theme would definitely be a rough challenge for anyone, and I'd be happy to tackle it, but every solution that I can come up with tends to the humorous side. That may just be because of the way my brain is bent, or it may be a bit of reality. If it's the latter, we may end up with a lot of "serious" on one side, and a lot of "humorous takes" on the other. Whether that's good or bad is beyond me, but i just thought I'd mention it as one of the moderators for this challenge.

And I have to say I'm actually quite on level with the kitty when it comes to thinking about the topic.

Storm in the teacup has a bit more limited ways of approaches than Faded Beauty Still Shines in my mind, at least (I might just not think far enough though....), but these kind of challenges are always about the art, quality and how far the artist push it no matter level for me. And I see a lot more potential in FBSS.

Officially, we still have a tie, and alesoun has gone to bed, so we are on hold until she tie-breaks this little fiasco tomorrow. I will post the official announcement and rules in the thread you all signed up in, change its name, and have Daes' move it to the appropriate section later in the day.

I was real worried about storm in a teacup so I got a head start just encase. I didn't like the idea anyways. It was a little too specific and I couldn't find an analogy for it. We all would have come up with the same thing, because it only gave so much room for interpretation.

I'm glad to hear Faded beauty won. It should give room for some great subject matter.

Storm in a Teacup is basically the same thing as Mountain out of a Molehill ie blowing things out of proportion. Not literally a storm inside of a cup intended for tea.
