Heya.. finally i have some free time to spare. so let's get it on!
idea development/ thumb stage:
first, i just made some doodles a few weeks ago to wrap my head around an idea. actually thats the most difflicult part- to come up with something original.. all of these were discarded. too epic, too fantasy, too unoriginal, too boring, too cliche...

I decided to let it rest and focus on the tasks at hand, like getting my new atelier ready for business and taking care of work in general. weeks upon weeks of not being at home, traveling and consuming fast food.. and then i finally returned home only to find out that my fridge had turned into the equivalent of a biotope.
the most interesting specimen to be found in there was a package of milk that must have been in there for weeks. I immediately was reminded of a shoggoth- the formless evil of several h.p. lovecraft stories. and then it struck me- that exact moment of discovery would be the basis for my entry. I immediately had the picture in my mind: a streetpunk discovering a new species in his refridgerator. And so I started sketching.
Sketch phase 1 of 2:

need to tune perpective, anatomy and a little bit of composition, then i'll move on to the blocking stage.
more to come soon.
cheers,
Etienne
