For drawing and finishing comic book pages, what software program would you recommend: Corel Painter, Adobe Illustrator, or Manga Studio?

I've heard that Corel Painter is great for colored art but not as good as Manga Studio for inked lines.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Ok, let's think about this...

Manga is the Japanese word for Comics
Painter...means what? Painting?

It's not impossible for Painter/Illustrator to do manga/comics but but you're kind of asking what program is better suited when the names have a bit more obvious intent what the programs are for ;)

do a quick search in this section, manga studio was discussed here.
shortly said - manga studio is the best for producing extra crisp print-ready inked pages in super high-resolution (like 600 dpi)

Both are different softwares directed towards different Niche.

I do have both of them and still prefer Painter 10 for digital comic making rather than Manga studio. One thing I like about Manga Studio though is the amount of screentones, speedlines I can do.

And regarding Manga Studio being the best in comic/manga making? Nah unless your paid by them to say that. It makes it easier though, with templates and such.. But I'd still prefer me Painter ink Brushes.

you cant compare both programs, its like saying wich taste better, an apple or a banana?, both has the same purpose to stop hunger.

But whats the right taste for you?, get the trial versions, keep the one you like the most.
