Thanks to the previous crits I changed the compostion. The crazy colors are still there, but I do intend to use further blending modes on them. I just want to get the compostional foundation down first before going any further. To be honest I was close to scraping it but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel now :mod:

Why the new thread instead of the old one?

I played around with the image a bit more. and started to paint over the poser render. I hope to make some more recognizable forms in the gas clouds like deformed faces and fetuses. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do to the figure? I don't want to do too much as the back ground is already very busy. But I would like to do something subtle. I was also playing with the idea of giving her hair the blends with the back ground but am unsure if that would be a bit much. Crits are very welcome and appreciated.

I thought I would quickly sketch in some hair to get opinions

I decided to desaturate the image and re-work the values and shapes. Still a ways to go on this but I feel like I am finally on the right track. :yayca:

I rendered in the breasts and a bit of the face, also I have worked a bit more with the background. I am looking forward to bringing back color with a more subtle touch

Cheers everyone :yayca:

The desaturated version certainly looks much less busy, i like the way her hair also looks like it's pulling in the space around her as well, great job on the breasts & face by the way.

It's really starting to come together. One problem I've always had with Poser is that the joints never seem to be quite fleshed out, and yet the knees here look great. The elbows look a little thin though. Otherwise, it looks great. I'm looking forward to the return of colour.

The hair was defiantly missing from the older renders, I like the way it blends into the mists. I agree with Ag3nt0rang3 the elbows look a little thin and so does the left thigh. The eyes better without the pupils in them, the women looks a lot more mystical. Keep working at it. It is coming along nicely!!

Thanks for all the input and complements everyone! Today I rendered in the right arm and a bit more of the breasts. I have set the lofty goal of finishing the rendering by this Monday so I can color it by Friday. I must have it done by next Friday. Because by the following Monday Mr. Bubbles and I will be voyaging the wilds of Temagami :canadapatriot:

Hey everyone just thought I would post what rendering I have done since yesterday. Does any one find the length of the right leg odd? It is a poser render so it is proper, but something is bugging me about it.... maybe its just me.:yayca:

the right foot seems to come too far into the foreground, overshadowing the right leg, which looks too short. Also, both feet look a little big, or too close in the foreground.

Well I didn't completely finish rendering like I hoped, but I plan to start adding color tomorrow regardless. Thank you Ag3ent Orang3 for the input. I changed the leg and feet, as well as some issues I was having with the left arm. I am looking forward to finally finishing this. :anime:

Nice the leg and arm look a lot better now. You also filled in the little chip in left foot. Looking forward to seeing her rendered in colour!!

Well, this will be my final post. I leave for my annual canoe trip to Temagami (Northern Ontario Canada) tomorrow. I wish I could work on it more but I am out of time. The concept behind this piece is Mother Chaos is giving birth to a black hole and in each corner is one of the four elements air (top left), earth (top right), fire (lower left), and water (lower right). It has been a blast and I plan to get more involved with CA challenges like COW. Good luck everyone, and wish me a safe voyage into the wild. I will see you soon Mr. Bubbles! :yayca:732617
