wow these are great, really nice start, just 1 thing with the first piece, i think her face looks a little flat still, but this is coming from a person with about 1/100th of your skill :)

You have nice digital studies. Hope that we will see more. The digital in post #4 looks pretty realistic.

i've been looking at calirezo's artworks and was inspired by how she does things so i went ahead and tried the chalks/pastel brush tool in photoshop. here's what i got. :D (i need more practice with hands, among many other things). this was referenced from a photo from someone at deviantart(i forgot who.. i'm still finding who it is)

good job on the studies, one thing you could improve on is youre linework wich seems messy because you arent confident enough about youre linework, try using fewer snd more smooth lines to decribe the forms itīll come off looking way better
Hope it helps:)
keep it up

thanks bodjietron! mabuhay! :D
DK_sketch: you're right, i need a lot of practice on linework :D when sketching digitally i do a lot of undoing and erasing lines. ): any suggestions on how to improve my confidence with linework?

shaping up. I use a lot of undo too when drawing digitaly, erase and transform. Try to familiarize yourself with anatomy, that will build your confidence. Like one artist said once, figure drawing is a language that you'll forget if you don't practice. Love that male and female pic with a strong strip of light

bWorx is right all there really is to it is draw and draw alot confidence in youre lines doesnīt come only from anatomy it comes from drawing in general though anatomy is a good way to go about it :)
here is a link to a page called posemaniacs try out the 30 second poses it will really help you both understand gesture drawing aswell as help youre linework

bWorx: thanks! figure drawing is on the top of my study list right now. that portrait took a whole night to do. my hand hurt a lot after that. :D
DK_sketch: i've tried that site before. but my aim then was to improve my figure drawing so i didn't find it useful at that time because i couldnt pin down the shapes and proportions in 30s. i'll try to use it to improve my lines. :D

Yey! I found another kababayan! Keep up the studies. Laking tulong yan. :)
BTW, visit our "Philippines" thread sa "Local Groups Section" ng Lounge. We haven't done one in long time, but sometimes we meet up for a "sketchmeet" where we just sketch and chat about all kinds of stuff.
See ya!

In the hopes of finding a style and improving my art (and just getting myself to draw everyday) I made a version of PROJ 365 (there's this site where you post photos each day).
Here are days 1 to 6, any crits to help me improve :D
