I really like the slightly cartoony portraits, especially the one you have as your avatar. They've got a lot of personality. I'm (maybe mistakenly) guessing that they're a little small in actual size, though; maybe it would be cool to see one developed further? Anyway, aside from that, neat anatomy studies. I should get started on them myself, I guess.

Looking forward to seeing more anyhow.

Hey gnarl, love the studies, and those 30 sec poses are great, I already have difficulties with 1min poses :D.
Post more!

i always take forever to draw my stuff, and it shows because your drawings are a lot more fluent and i think your anatomy studies are brilliant, can only say to keep up the work :P

Perhaps I don't know enough to be helpful, but I think you are doing all the right things. Is your focus figure at the moment? You could try dabbling in the the other P's and C's as well.

I like your strokes a lot, they are full of energy. Your style seems ideal to learn from Bridgeman, you have the same energetic approach, it makes your studies look fantastic. I hope you are getting the knowledge you need from them. I often find I copy but I'm not understanding it.

You said you want to create a cool character, but in what context? Unless there's a story or an idea behind it, an ideal or a personality trait you want to represent, is hard to create a character.

Wow, keep working on your anatomy! What you're doing with the arms is good, showing them in block form and then working up. This is seriously something I should be doing too.

Keep working on the torso, try to exaggerate a bit on the proportions- nice and toned, though not overly butch. I'd like to see a complete figure too.
