Following the trend... reserving this post for the (hopefully) final image.

So, initital idea. I guess the concept is how an artist creates ("gives birth to") when he works. But maybe a deeper meaning would be an artist feeling 'born anew' through inspiration and his work, it opening his eyes in a way, and seeing whole new worlds for the first time, feeling like a newborn in these strange places. I was thinking of having a vague fetus-like shape in the middle of the... uh, stuff he is projecting.

I'm thinking it's pretty cliché, so maybe I should come up with something cooler. On the other hand, I haven't really finished any illustrations before, so maybe I shouldn't mess around with ideas too much and just go for this one, simply finishing it being my main goal.

I think the idea could work if you play around more with the idea of the artist's role.
ex: instead of him just at a desk with all those creations coming out of his head, he could be a half cyborg in a super space lab with high tech pencils and stuff. (really lame example >< all i could think of atm) That might addmore to the concept and give it a deeper meaning. Depict the environment that is inspiring for that artist :) best of luck!
