First and foremost, thank you Roxette for making all those great music I listened to while finishing this off. :)

Oh goodness. I forgot to level check. hmmmm! [I'll add that to the list also].

[Old post]
I'm still reading about composition & doing value studies, but, what ever I'm learning in how to make good pictures, I'll be applying here. 1 hr a day, I should at least have 1 finished. :teeth:

-2 waywards & twin brothers (background)
Enlightenment: Sometimes all it takes is that one little flash, in this case, a pebble. :P

-For the noobs like me. F1+F2 are binded to horizontal and vertical canvas flip.
-I like to create resizeable composition frames before I copy all layers and paste as a small thumbnail into a secret PSD document.

I already went over my allocated 1 hr. :P [I hope I don't get fired. bahahaha]

you're fired!
anyway, the prizes are worth going over your allocated time.
Besides, it's those moments when you really get into a drawing or painting that are so rare that you should go with the flow and keep working.

(don't jinx, this is serious :P) uuhmmm, my hour disappeared today. [I'll find time :)]
-i love those moments, when the heart never skips a beat and in all the rush, I stub my toe on the table legs while getting up. Good times. :P

Ctrl+J for quick duplicate of selections
Ctrl+Shift+C to copy merge all layers

Values. Lasso shape and apply gradient. Is that ok to do?
701654
Colour picks. Uhhhmmmm. I'm reading still up on it still. Advice welcome. :)
I'm still trying the colour overlay over the grays, but I'll end up covering it all in the end with full opaque colours. [I still find it hard to see the values in the colours. I can't see it still.]

I'm not sure if I should keep that dark apparition behind the boy that doesn't wake up. I love to.

-I'm trying to get the treet to grow out the 'Awakened' boy's head. :)
-2 paths. Bike path as waves. Walking the simple curve.
(Still thinking about how best to use 'em. I was thinking of using it to split the characters. The directions in which they will leave after this incident.)
-The twins in the back. One nursing his knee, while the older twin throws the pebble. They're a tough one. Facial expressions maybe, but there's got to be more.

I Like how you have several different versions, each one altering something different.
And I still love their expressions :)

hala: They're quite small, so it's not much work/time to mock up. [Although, I still can't figure out why I did the gradient on the arms as they were, it doesn't even make sense] Anywayyy...

My third step/update as Barron starts his third piece. Ha!

blog post (http://theonlyblackspot.blogspot.com/2009/05/crowd-scenes.html) .... funny. teehee.

Does the illustration make sense though? (everyone)
I want to use the sparks, and maybe a few cartoon motion lines, but it feels like cheating.
[I'll do more mirror-acting, but I'm all out, my face muscles are cramped, and I want to age gracefully. No age lines thank you. yeck! :P]

Maybe if they were holding an apple each but the one the taller brother holds has a bite out of it

Apple ??? [I'm embarrassed, I don't get the metaphor :redcheeks:]
uhhm, just in case, that's a pacifier falling out the tall one's mouth. :teeth:
and next to his left ear, is a little pebble thrown by one of the twins from the back hitting tall boys noggin.

oh nooo ... [I might use the motion lines like a Bugs Bunny. I'll work onnit more though.]

Thank you BSpot.

Like in the Garden of Eden, but forget it as I was still on my first cup of coffee then.

Thank you Black Spot: I really have to read more, Seriously. mwah mwah

Something I'm working along side 'Waking knock'.
I'll develop this with no commentary, just to see how well my story telling. Even the title will remain reserved, for now. :)

i say do the cartoon motion lines it will help us understand what's going on, not to mention their just funny to look at.

btw F1+F2 didn't flip the canvas, it just brought up the help menu, several times

Oh goodness.
This was a freakin doozy for me, but a good learning experience. Indeed.
I now know the definite things I need work on
[it's a long list and that includes colour theory, ugh! Why colours? Why? Why must you be so pretty. :P]

Thank you Baron Impossible for kick starting my curiousity. Hala for her genius bomb.
Black Spot for her devotion to vectors [*shudders at my vector skills] Vaejoun for his spider baby. Soulweaver for her kick ass username and entry, and the countless others who I'll be perving through this early Sundee morning. Donut anyone?

Final entry, dropped in first post. [I didn't do a pre-post for it. Pardon the mess]. :)

The end. I feel tired.
