Where to start??

Hello everyone! :yayca:

Im very new to CA. Im very curious to learn sketching. Im an animator and ive been drawing from a small age just for fun. Ive never been to any art schools or classes. But ive always struggled to get to some resource to learn. Atlast i somehow found this heaven to learn drawing.

U have some interesting stuff going on there. By sketching do u what do you mean exactly? What do u wanna learn to draw? I think that your sketches look fine, you would need to work on anatomy and to add detail to your work.

Hey thanks Damjan for replying back .. :) By sketching i actually meant by able to draw all about characters and figures. Im an animator .. so that serves my purpose in animation too .. to be able to portray the subject(character) with more understanding. So basically with my present knowledge if i can tell u more clearly are the following subjects i want to learn desperately:
1. Drawing all kinds of characters and figures
2. Lighting and shading on them
3. All about coloring them
4. Digital techniques ... like using Photoshop to achieve them quickly

So i want to raise my understanding and quality to something like Mark Behm (http://www.markbehm.com/gallery.html). Plz guide me which threads should i start with .. coz this is a huge forum :| and where to seek guidance??

Well, u are in the right section of the forum as far as I know. There is this thread that I've started called Damjan getting metored in concept art.
There I'm working on the characters. Read through and see with Jason if you can join in and go along as I am. That will help you more on ur characters. I've also seen some color theory and basic drawing anatomy posts. Try to join them or if not, read along and do stuff on your own. Post them here and I'll try to help as much as I can. P.M. me so I can also give you few sites where u can use to help you out with what u need.
