Pretty sure in 2 weeks its just the Final Burning thread, meaning if your done and u cant stand to look at it anymore, you put it up and say you're done. Otherwise, you wait till you're finished, then put it in the finals thread.

Kelly, the good 'Knight said it square. We will open a kind of holding thread for each gender around the midway point of the TD so that those who are done early, sick of their piece or have to "leave" for something else (travel, etc.) can have a place for their FINAL piece. We're doing it publicly so that any comments made can be used to improve your piece if you want after you mount it. Just make sure we know which is your FINAL piece for the poll.

In most of the TDs here, we hide the final pieces till the actual polling, but those are much longer "lead" times to allow the most finished work we can manage. This one pulled it a little close, so we're gonna help out, so to speak, by allowing a kind of WIP presentation period to help everybody out.

Contrary to what most people think, most of us here...with the possible exception of me...tend not to be pricks... :P

And Grandma, I have an idea, why not make your whole entry out of cookies and yarn? You could like, crochet your outfits and put them on gingerbread people and pose 'em to fit your idea and then take a picture of it all with some outdated camera and enter the photo, and even show it to your friends at the senior center! At least I REALLY wanna see cookies lose their innocence. 0_o

RUM gives you false bravery so you think you can do anything....it really works, however you may regret you decision to use false bravery the next morning, especially if you don't drink enough water the night before:D

I realize that if you wanna ask someone (whom you don't know so well) for a favor, that it's wise to compliment 'em first.

But I wouldn't want to mistake it for coming on to them, that's the thing... How do you tell someone they have a nice body without them taking it the wrong way, even if you tell them it's for art? Maybe I'm being too sensitive about it, maybe it's the fact that I was pretty much raised by a "prude" and don't really know where some of these thresholds are yet, so I'm erring on the side of caution, here...


As for the rum advice, going to school on a dry campus does complicate things a bit! :tihi:

this reminds me of my loss of innocence i had a kitten named stubby when i was 6 his tale had been cut off we rescued him from a shelter .that cat paid no attention to anyone but me he would be gone all day but would come back to sleep w/ me(curled up by my shoulder w/ his head on my neck) we would play fetch w/ a crumpled peice of newspaper and one day we had to move and we waited a week extra for him to come home(i love my mom)but he never did =(

oh man speaking of bath bombs, there's a boutique around where I live where they put these really fragrant oils in the bath bombs... soooo nice, so you get the fizz plus you don't have to put lotion on after really saves on time.
best thing in the world, put on some relaxing music (billy Joels my fav) grab a glass of sangria, and turn off all the lights, light a few candles, start a hot bath, throw in a bath bomb and man that's heaven. oh make sure the hubby had the baby and send them to the park...then it REALLY heaven.

Hmmm, bubblebath, I tried to parlay my alcoholism into bubblebath obsession. However, when I found I could afford both, I no longer cared! Now with this collapsing economy and my banks unwillingness to extend my credit has proved a problem. Difficult choices, booze, bubblebath, or food! I find it entertaining when I'm checking out at a grocery store with alot of booze and bubblebath.

Normally, when he have a TD, we keep the pieces secret til the end, but in this case, considering how many bone-heads here can't get into each other's gender/head with a crowbar, we're gonna be a bit helpful and let late-ish WIPs be posted in the FINAL threads. That should help a bit, and it may help get some of our lazier compatriots of their procrastinating asses. As far as I'm concerned, you can post for crits before you finish completely, or post your final with enough lead time to make changes if you get some decent advice. OR you can just be evil and drop it in at the last minute and crush everybody with your sneaky magnificence... :P

Just make sure we know WHAT your final piece is when the time comes (Mark it clearly)...
