Hey everyone
i´m new to this site and iv´e been checking out a lot of threads and i keep seeing the term "speedpainting". what is speedpainting? It seems to me that they are done in the computer but how (i can hardly draw a straight line in the computer)?
ps. i´m really happy i found this site there are some very inspiring pieces here.

oh yeah... what programs should i get?

speed painting is basically painting on the computer within a certain time limit. Example: 90 minutes, then everyone posts what they have done in 90 minutes.

I don't believe they're strictly digital, although that is the medium of choice since it is quite easy to start.

Most people who do paint digitally use a tablet. www.wacom.com
Don't be discouraged, you could use the mouse as well, but it will take more effort :)

Popular programs are Photoshop and Painter.
