my entry

painted in Photoshop - some custom brushes made by define brush preset.
using levels to make a black and white leaf then turning it into a paint brush etc.

about 5 hours involved. :[
the tree portion was fun. I got real loose with the tools and brushes...

Voted for Tsujni, also liked a lot of Ilaekaes piece. It was a hard choice. Others did well too, but didn't touch me so much.

alright, I wanted to vote for vyse, Tonic, Ilaekae . I really like their approach on this topic! but this is no multiple voting poll, so I ended up voting for Tonic.

This round was really amazing and all of us managed to get something out of it I think…well done duders!

EDIT: Tonic, when I say " I ended up voting for Tonic" that sounds so stupid! just to clarify, I voted for you because I think you did a great job, not because I had to chose one :)

I am sorry I messed up with the icon thing. I read the instructions but I am ashamed to admit I was not sure what you meant, (what it was for) and somehow my brain translated that into "This must be a voluntary thing some folks do!" and so I skipped even asking about it. I will know better for next time I guess!

Interesting round.

This was a hard round to vote for, since dementia is more a matter of perception than anything else. It's different for everyone. Voted for Vyse in the end. If I ever take complete leave of my senses, I'd much prefer it to be floating through a galaxy/pool.

BigFoottrooper got my vote with the use of the constellations and semi hidden face in the sky.

Such a difficult challenge, and even with that you guys came up with some really great pieces! Trashy's painting really stood out to me, though. Not just because of subject matter, but the colors by themselves are just mesmerizing to me. (The backwards writing and smaller details are things that really grabbed my attention, as well.)

Vyse, yours was such a close choice for me as well. (If I ever go crazy, or just need a vacation, I'd like to go -there- XD ) The central area is painted so well, and is very eye-catching, but I wish that the rest was fleshed out a bit more...or maybe cropped, I'm not sure, it just feels a bit too empty. (saying empty in outer space just feels silly to me, now that I think of it. lol)

Revenebo, I have to say that I loved yours. That spaceship I can only describe as SO COOL. My only issue is that I felt my eyes had no place to really settle...between the figure and the ship my focus sort of fades. I think maybe some runway-ish type lights would have really unified it.

...And now I am out of time so I will hush, but I have to say it again, really really nice work for such a peculiar subject. Open topics like this allow you so much freedom, but in that same light, because they could be anything, it also makes it that much harder to come up with ideas. Kudos to you for really putting your creativity to the test! :)

sorry I didn't do the icon right, this is my first time doing EOW. I've usually done COW, and they don't ask for icons, so ... my fault. I'll fix it, though I don't presume I'll be added to the poll.
