Dynamic Energy Challenge stage 1 - Wolverine!

Hello!

Welcome to the Dynamic Energy comic character challenges! :anime:

The first character is:

Wolverine!

There are 2 stages in each challenge:

Stage 1 =sketches+ideas - one week challenge

Stage 2 =finished colour pieces - two weeks challenge

(Possible 3rd stage? - what do you think?)

Anybody is encouraged to take part in either stage - if you just want to have a bit of fun sketching then feel free to just do the stage 1 or if you'd rather jump straight in at stage 2 then go for it!

There will be a poll at the end of each stage.

The idea is to draw the chosen character in an energetic dynamic pose or situation. Also feel free to use any media or art style - all I ask is that you keep it clean thanks! (no obscene stuff etc - you know the drill :yayca: :painting:)

With stage 1, finished quality isn't important but totally cool if you want to.

Any level of artist is more than welcome :hugsmile:

Wow - I can't believe how quick I've managed to start sketching on this one :painting: just worked out right to have some time free today as it's the weekend! :steph:

Remember - this 'Stage 1' of the challenge is only requiring roughs and ideas so no pressure, but if you feel inspired and want to do some finished type stuff go for it!

Also feel free to post WIPs etc

hi this sound quite cool finally something that will help wit my dynamic drawing... found a guy who will fix my scanner for £60 so i will start working on my sketch :)

I think it's a cool idea that each of us make challenges back to back that we will always have challenges to do :D

1 question is there a certain way it has to be couloured e.g: photoshopped?
or can it be in any style ... lol always wanted to use felt tip pens on a picture but could never be bothered

& GetiX nice one you're getting your scanner fixed - and seriously, go for it in any media dude :painting:
(again officially, the colour/finalizing of the piece is in Stage 2 of the challenge but don't let me stand in the way of creative enthusiasm if you want to get it finished in a week!)

I'm still at drawing stage.Hope I get time to finish 1st stage.
I have to work more on his anatomy,proportions etc.

Hey thanks SCP! you're on target for finishing Stage 1 very well my friend :painting: Your 2nd pic is exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for with Stage 1 - it's just that Splendidriver and I have got all enthusiastic and on to Stage 2 already lol!

I think I need to modify the rules for the dynamic challenges!
Do people want a poll for stage 1? I'm thinking not to do that now and have the poll at the end of stage 2.

Stage 1 finishes 13:00 UK time tomorrow - Stage 2 continues in this thread until 22nd Nov unless you all post your final rendered pieces sooner :). If anyone is working on a piece please let us know by posting here asap.

SamC - go for it! Also remember you can jump straight in at stage 2 and just enjoy taking part if you don't think you can finalize your pic in time :painting:

Splendidriver - Ok - I've had a good think about it and will try the poll this time but am aiming for stage 1 to be all about helping each other to improve... so! voting will be on how well the stage 1 submissions achieve a good Dynamic concept for the Stage 2 piece to come. Helpful feedback and constructive advice is highly encouraged in the Stage 1 poll thread :yayca: :blahblah: :hugsmile:

Here's my Stage 1 submission - the story behind my pic is that Wolverine is hunting down a bad mutant/dude he needs to capture and is getting ready to attack. :anime:

Hmm not sure about Background ,I was thinking along the line of comics the more Dynamic the pose the less background.Sometimes just colour and lines.
