I'd like to share some pieces of my learning process (if there's any at least) and hope for some C&C to improve.


When I did the troll bust I noticed that lips seem to be an issue for me so I sat down for 1 hour and tried to create lips just from imagination, without any reference, photo or mirror. Could be worse I guess, but the upper lip seems a bit unnatural.

Size is somewhat near 1:1 (just grabbed a random clump of sculpy and began).

Based off the last photo, it appears that the lower lip is too protrudent compared to the upper lip. Make sure the tip of the upper lip is reasonably rounded.

i think that the upper lip is too full. it is rare to find an upperlip that is fuller than the lower. Unless thats part of youe creature design.

Sorry I am a bit late in this thread.
Excellent idea - doing the practice on one thing at a time.
As you can se on my first thread revived yesterday - I did something similar with heads.
I would suggest you try doing the skin-texture as well - the texture on the lower lip looks good.
