Hey there,
I'm not very long in sculpting yet, just watched some stuff on the net, bought some Sculpy and began.
Thats my first try on a humanoid head and at the same time the most uncreative thing I've done in the 22 years of my life (one of the most uncreative things at least), but well who cares.

The head is based on a Warcraft char  and has a height of ± 80mm, the face is 33mm high. Unfortunately the cheap camera ate some of the details like skin- and hair-texture.

Still not sure yet if I'll paint it "realistic" or give it a bronze look (like some old statue or w/e).

Welcome.
You are of to a good start! Nice features, well made ears!
Teeth looks a bit like a later addition - that is - not coming from within the mouth.
Keep sculpting - keep posting!

the likeness to your source material is there. good start. like aseyngel said there is something off with the mouth. i believe if you protrude the lower lip a bit it might be corrected. keep at it!!

That's a fantastic first attempt. I'd recommend getting better source material though. Try some photos or real people. It's much easier to make your fantasy characters believable if you have a solid grasp of real anatomy.

Thanks for the tips so far, the teeth do indeed not look like they belong there, maybe I'll pre-bake them next time to ease things a bit.

She got some color today, golden and (black)iron effect color. Unfortunately its almost impossible to get some clean photos as the autofocus of the cam has some slight problems with reflecting materials and theres no way to adjust the focus manualy.

For a first sculpt, this heralds a lot of solid work to come.

Depending on the concept, I find that I tend to pre-bake tusks, horns, and exposed teeth for better placement. There's just something about how they fit into place that seems more natural than trying to sculpt them into position.

Looking forward to seeing what you create next.
