Hey guys, just a little something that I did in Maya. Looking for any critiques you might have for me! Did this in about 2 weeks. Poly count is something like 38k polygons? Also attaching some screens of the wires as well as my texture sheets and a few references that I did this from. I know I made some major errors, as well as left out a fair bunch of stuff (like that dodge ram thing haha) so please nitpick the hell out of it. Be anal as if you hate me, you know? haha. Thanks!

Even trying to find some sort of problem with it, I can't say i see anything wrong with that. The scratches were a nice touch. It looks pretty realistic.

great job i am very impressed by your 3D work! it looks just like the real thing. i dont see any flaws. i love the texture that you incorporated. the rust and dirt makes it all better. id love to see more of your work, i havent seen many 3D models like this on here. good luck to any future projects.

Hey, thanks for the positive feedback guys! Really appreciate them all. Hoping to get more crits! On the technical side (UV layout, edgeloops, etc.) as well as the aesthetic side, anything at all!

U did great job man, topology is great could have less loops at the door side but its pk,textures are great but I think u just need to add a lil bit of displacement there!

Awesome little model, CP - only thing is, when compared to the ref;
The headlights look a bit small.
The hubcap "moons" don't seem smooth enough.
The tire treads look out of scale.
The wide metal 'stripe' up the center of the hood appears too thick.
The space between the front hood and first louver seems to large.
The DODGE name plate needs to be lowered.
You're missing the join/seam between the roof and the windshield pillars/cab.
And stay away from my sister!
How's that? ;)

Please forgive my horrid unpredictable writing LOL.
Just looking for a couple minutes, these are the things I saw...
BTW, this is so damn cool! Excellent Job!

Haha! Man, Thanks so much lilalex and SoulWraith! Nice nice crits there! Interesting that both of you have very nearly the same stuff to say. Some of them I already knew about, but the deadline was near and there's only so much you can do in a given amount of time, but some like the placement of the Dodge nameplate (I tell you here and now, I HATE 3D text lol) and the hood metal strip thing I didn't notice myself.
There are other major things like the fencing on the back of the pickup which should not be higher than the cab, and that rim thing on the door.
Also, well, I don't accept the crit about staying away from your sister, lilalex :p
Thanks again guys!
Come on, more!
P.S. lilalex, I don't know anything about cars, so, what's a louvre?

All kidding aside - that really is a nice little truck model; something you could probably sell for a few $ on online at places like; http://www.modelbank.com.
Again, nice work, keep it up!

Dayum! 5 stars? Wow, whoever that is, thanks a lot for the vote, my first "starred" thread in CA lol. Although honestly, I think it probably isn't really a 5 star material yet lol. There're so many other stuff here more worthy of the rating, and the stuff I see get done by my colleagues at work blow anything little thing I can do here out of the water lol.
But, thanks again for the votes, whoever you guys are!
(So, once I find some kind of time for myself I'll work in as much of the comments I got here as I can!)

Woooow, nice to see that u still can rely on the ranking system to get seriously asskicked=> i add my five stars!
I totaly suck at 3D stuff (took me a century to model the 3DSmax tut chess set...) so no crits from me of course.
Good job, im impressed!
