The aim is to produce 50 gestures by Sunday the 24th of August.

The gestures can be of anything, human, animal, cavorting capybaras....and can be in any media, digital or traditional is fine.

In addition to this, participants can choose to do a Optional Study of "Asian people", in any media. Black and White or Colour is fine.

:muscle: Come on soldiers! Flex those muscles!!:muscle:

PS...critting each other is highly encouraged!! Let's help each other get better!

I sooo love this happy star next to my name, I have to make the optional every week ;)
I will have some little but absolutely needed holiday and I go to a 8-bit computer party, so I won't have very much time and I always spend many hours for my several more detailed poses but I'll do my best :)

a bit quiet in here... it's my first time but here are my 50 gestures (obviously posemaniacs) and two rushed asian face studies after photos.
this activity looks like a great motivator to do these continously, thus i plan to become a regular!

I did 50 gestures, will have to work on the optional study but the 50 was rough.
first time I tried that.
I tried not to spend to much time on them but i got stuck on a few.
I'm still working out proportions and such so this was good practice for me.

Here are some gestures... (mix of charcoal / ink / pencil drawings. Most are from models but some are from homework and visiting museums.)
For the past week at art school practically all we've been doing is drawing gestures... (practically drawing through 100 pages of newsprint a day at the least). I don't know if thats considered cheating but I'd really like to have more critiques about my gesture drawings and this seemed like a good place. If it's not okay I'll get the heck out and draw new ones specifically for the next go around.

I'll try to work on the optional part tonight. It probably won't be anything fancy since I don't have my tablet or a scanner with me right now. o_o

Also, yay first post! These community activities seem really awesome. :D

hi, I barely did it... I tried to draw the people on the party where I was and I did some posemaniacs and some others too. simple/not nice enough this time, my optional study is messy too, I couldn't make more this week, I'm tired.

Great! loads of new ppl.

katinki; Welcome! Posemaniacs is totally fine. Nice to see you're not afraid of trying the tough posemaniac poses. Clean gestures. Hoping to see you more often!
Stryyf; Welcome to you too. Doing loads of these is great practice. Try to learn whats inside the body, anatomy will help you a great deal. 50 poses can be tough, feel free to use reference. You seem to be using your imagination.
_Kino_; You came to the right place (website and activity :P). Great effort, nice to see all the different reference and media you used. Draw what's there, not just what you can see. As in, not just the "outside". Nice optionals too. I'd advice starting a sketchbook in the sketchbook section once you feel ready. See you next time!
shiNIN; Hey again. Yea, I like to just look at other people around too. Best reference you can get, I think. You seem to have ran out of time. On the other side, doing some real quick gestures every now and then can be refreshing. Anyways, good luck this week!
prepsage; Where are you, soldier? :)
