Hey, so I've been inspired by all the work here, and decided I wanted to see if I had any talent. I've never sculpted before in my life, but I must say, it's been a lot of fun so far. This is about 3-4 hours work so far. I know i've got a long ways to go, but if you have any tips, advice, critiques etc, please let me know!
Cheers:)

So here's another little update...
What do you guys suggest in terms of detailing, or any other major work that needs to be done? Can anyone suggest a good method to recreate an ear?
Cheers!

:D There's a definite likeness to him!
Ears are tricky - but ultimately just like anything else. Good reference, a mirror and a critical eye are all you need.

lower the jawline, extend the forehead a bit forward, decrease the size of the nose and ears, reposition the ears...this is just what i can see from comparing the photo ref. to your most recent sculpt. i can see that you have a lot of enthusiam and i hope that what i said can help you...i am fairly new to this. only been sculpting for less than a year. Likeness is something i've yet to tackle. it is kinda scary. i commend your attempt, and your work so far is really nice...keep at it!!

ps. i hope that my comments aren't discouraging...because what you've done so far is really good!
