Topic: Demolition Derby Car

Background: With DEEP already a week behind us, it is time to return to normality again. I thought it would be nice to blow off some steam with a destructive topic.

For those who don't know what a Demolition Derby is: It is a 'fight' in an arena between a number of modified old cars, last on still driving wins. It's that simple :)

The cars are often radically modified, not only to keep the drivers save in all the chaos and mayhem of the game but also to stand out amongst the crowd. Pink, bright yellow, fluorescent green, huge exhausts..go wild. Most are old cars modified to fit, but you might also opt for a completely new build one from scratch if you like. Mind though, Monster Trucks are a different class and will not count as a Derby car.

There is a league specially for schoolbuses though...

One more thing: to make it a bit more interesting I want you to come up with two drawings for the car. One is an image of the car before the game, the other is the image from after the game, when it is beat up and barely -if at all- driveable.

Brief:
1. Design and draw a Demolition Derby Car!
2. Show both the before and after states of the car :)
3. That's it... now draw!

Saturns Gate: hm there is some room for playing around with this topic, but I'd advise to keep it so it could actually compete in a real race without sticking out like a sore thumb (like..adding cannons and stuff :madchef:).

Xezor1324- i really like old paper texture background, and the car feels a little boxy but overall i like it. it feels kinda like a toy though...

prepsage- love th colors, your peice had a old poster feel to it. nice...the damaged version would have been neat to :)

jread- i like it, i think that it could have used more damage...but i like some of the little details like the red dripping down the wheel and the scrapping effect down the side. :)

@Hfix - thanks :) I was gonna add more damage, thats exactly what my GF said! but i thought that in a real race a black cab would kick ass coz they are so heavy duty!
