Anyone tried markering (pantone, tria, copic .ect) over a line art from a bubble/ink jet printer? I was just about to buy a laser pprinter for printing off some line art, but bubble jets are sooo much cheaper and apparently print at higher resolution. I was wondering if markers would cause the ink from the printer to bleed.
Any advice?

I have an Epson 777i and it works great. A very good buy for $99. I color over my printed sketches all the time and the linework always stays put. The only downside is that you won't get the powerful blacks like you would with a good xerox--but depending on the style you're going for that can be a good thing.
It definitely beats leaving the house to make copies...

the biggest concern is (for me) the paper grade. i use Wausau 96 pound bristol (comes cheap for 500 sheets) and it seems to let the ink embed fairly well on my HPs. that being said, I use Tombo dual-nibbed markers and they sometimes still pull some of the ink, but my style is volatile enough that I can cover up major fuckups without worry. thsi obviouslymay not be the case for you.
