ok well im new to z brush but not new to sculpting, ive made some cool creatures and things simply using tools but when i saw a video about zspheres it seemed like a much more pratical way to get a vasic form for a body

but im having this problem

today i was trying to create a phyco teddy bear with z spheres i made a basic bear shape with them but then when i converted it to unified skin and tryed to sculpt on the face with Y symetry the points of symtry were on his face and the other point was on is leg area so i check the preview and the dude is all off and tilted and what not

how to i reset the x and Y axis to fit my creation so that the symetry will work properly?

In my own experience with z-spheres, I haven't come across something like this. So long as you didn't rotate the original z-sphere itself, it shouldn't do this. If you did, all you'd have to do is go back in and rotate the original z-sphere until the model is oriented properly.

You could also try toggling on the other symmetry types instead. If Y gives you that result, then X will probably work instead, or failing that, Z.

Hello there Darkmin.

Like Kellervo, I have never had this issue before with z-sphere models, but it has happened occasionally when binging in Maya OBJs that were built off-centre and the way i get around it is just by whacking on local symmetry in ZB once the wonky tool is loaded (in version 3.1 this is one of the little icons down the right of the view pane, but I'm sure its included somewhere else in other versions) which works brilliabtly. Also, have you tried making Adaptive Skins rather than Unified Skins from your z-spheres? I'm not sure if that will fix the issue or not, but its just a though.

Hope you fix the problem.
