Hey guys, I posted a trompe a few weeks ago of a sword piece I did, this is the 2nd one, I made a few adjustments to the actual gun reference I had, this was a lot of fun to do, my friend suggested putting a fantasy twist to it, so I took his advice and decided to add a dragon mouth to the end of the barrel of the gun along with adding some scales to it as it transitions into the flintlock.

Either way, I've got a few more ideas like this that I've got in mind, the next one which is an armor piece is already started on my easel, I'll be sure to post it up when it's done and ready!

Thanks :)

Hey Eric-
This is a cool idea and looking really good. Looking forward to seeing the others you are coming up with. Perhaps for the next in this series have the weapon resting on a more elaborate BG? Some rocks, or decorative cloth?
Really just a suggestion to get your brain gears going- nothing else. I do like the simple BG's as well. Keep up the good work!

Coyote- thanks for the comment, haha, why a 3d model?

Jane- thank you for the compliment :)

Scott- I agree! in fact, as I move into making more of these, I do think the BGs can be more elaborate, i'll definitely need to play that up in some of my other work too. The next piece actually has a kind of structured wall behind it, and i'll be playing more with light, I think you'll enjoy it, so I hope to hear your thoughts once it's up! Thanks again man

Good job, I think having a more complex background is a great idea for the next piece.
