TC #40: Post apocalyptical warlord - finish/voting

Hey everyone!
I thought i change the voting thread a bit. Now you have to put your final images in here on your own, but you have 1 more week to finish until the poll starts. This is espaccialy for those who like to do some final things and for those busy people like me, who are at war with deadlines ;].

I don't exactly know how i will add the poll.. maybe i'll just put down the name or a thumbnail. But the whole picture on the poll would be too much, i think.

here we are. was a wonderfully fun project, ill be sure to participate in these in the future.


mini-story: Hundreds of years after Earth's Final War, the few remaining humans have recreated society in the form of a caste system. At the top of this system lies the Primarate, who lead their people against competing tribes for dwindling stockpiles of refined alloys and other valuable resources. The Primarate are characterized by their cat-like eyes, a residual genetic modification from the rampant gene splicing that took place during the Final War. They are also the only members of their society permitted to have metal jewelery, and are awarded a new piece for every victorious battle.

The Desert Marauder
In the post-apocalyptical wastes of the former Nevada desert, several small settlements have sprouted up.
However, in a post-apocalyptical world, there is no-one to protect these villages from raiders. The Desert Marauder and his goons are but a few of these.

Ehm, Have not figured out any specific story, but this a couple of hundred years after a big nuclear war, often reffered to as WWIII.
This warlord is commanding his forces (which are behind him) to attack.

Didn't have time to fix the smoke and some work with textures and such. :[
But I'm kinda satisfied anyway!

heyy good job,, the smoke is looking good,,,
I only have to say one thing... (with my limitated english) The flag goes to one sense, and the smoke to another,,, I mean the flag goes from left to right and the smoke from right to left...

But there's actually a possibility that the wind have different directions at such a distance.
But it's too late to fix now, I'm probably gonna edit that sometime later.

My work which seemed to have caused some controversy & insult:

Upon finding a run-down washing machine, this particular war lord decides to spare some of his energy unit strung upon his back in attempt to electronically 'wash' his clothes (No water required :O ) to eradicate the fall-out & other radio-active elements which stain his being from living in such a harsh environment. Some what modest, he sits in front of the eerie glow patiently, with his energy blaster leaning against the wall, ready to grab it if or when his enemies decide to sneak upon his den.

Bah, I started working on something when I heard the deadline had been extended, but I lost part of it when I had a power failure and never got around to finishing it.

Anyway, a few crits, even though it's too late to change the entries:

latimer: Got my vote. Very cool, humorous entry, and I like the way he rendered it. :)

Blueman: Also a great piece, my only crit is that the way the light/shadows fall on the chest area seem to give it a bit of a weird shape.

iambanana: The skin tones seem a bit light to me, especially the hand/fingers which kinda fade into the background. Adding some reddish hues or something would probably help. ;)

Lotet: Nicely done, like the rough style to it. Just, uh, why is he firing his gun into in the ground?

Diphallia: Looks good, but adding some stronger lighting on your char would make him look a less "flat". :)

Smog and pollution has shaded this new world from the sun for the past 50 years, causing this one legged warlord to have the odd guilty pleasure of applying excessive tanning bronzer. With his brute force, he controls a small army of androids, always keeping with him his pet "Stephanie" on a leash by his side at all times.
