Great sculpts! I was wondering...... When sculpting something like the full Leo figure, if you know it's going to be reproduced for a line, what all do you need to sculpt separately? Does the base need to be separate? If so, how do you go about that? Do you sculpt the base first, or the figure first...or at the same time? Is the flag or any other parts separate?
I was thinking about making a sculpture and pitching to a company to have it reproduced as limited edition statues (i.e. like a bowen type thing), but I've never done that before. I would hate to sculpt a finished piece and then have it not be suitable for casting. oh and I'm thinking it will be probably about 15 inches high. If you have any advice for me I'd really appreciate it....thanks!
btw, I love the way you handled the planes on the face and the hair!

Thanks friends!!!!!! ;)
Illustr8r, when i begin to sculpt I´m thinking how it is the best way to produce it. that is, first I´m making a concept draw and a pose. Then I told with caster producer to determinate the best ways to cut it. If when I make the skeleton of the figure and I like the pose, I make a basic anatomy, and then I cut the pieces and continue with the sculpt. It is easy, but i need to show it with pictures.
When I finish my new web, I update with tutorials ;)
Sorry for my english!!!
