View Full Version : Brush manager plugin for Photoshop?

Hi gang

I downloaded a whole bunch of brushes for Photoshop, and while they all have their purpose, I'm finding it very difficult to sort through them to find a brush I want. Because there is no title, no real preview or information on which brush is which, it's a matter of going through every single brush until I find the one I want, and then if I want to find it again a few months later...well.

So I'm wondering (pleading more like it :teeth:) if anyone knows of any plugins to manage brushes. I figured there would be a program out there that you can load your brushes into and see a preview of what it looks like, perhaps sorting them by type etc. into folders, but there doesn't appear to be anything like this which is odd.

So does anyone know of a plugin like this? If nothing like this exists, I'm very curios how everyone else manages their brushes.

Cheers!

Hello 'Boolean'

My only recommendation and the only Brush Manager I've heard of is "ABR Viewer"

You can download it from http://abrviewer.sourceforge.net/

"An utility for previewing and exporting as images one or multiple set of brushes generated with Adobe Photoshop (.abr files). It makes publishing your custom brush sets on the internet really easy."

REQUIREMENTS
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Operating System: All 32-bit MS Windows (95/98/NT/2000/XP)

"Calligraphic" brushes are not shown.

I hope this helps!

Doesn't work for CS4 made brush sets for me.

And, of course, CS4's preset manager is quite good for brushes - you can drag and drop them into whatever order you want, and with the stroke previews on, it's pretty easy to tell which brush you're looking for.
